Reasons why we all need to exercise:

  • Exercise increases metabolism, an important body function that wakes up a sluggish system and assists the body to lose weight faster. When our metabolism is good and running at peak performance, we can burn calories much faster, even while sleeping believe it or not.

  • Good exercise can boost a poor sex drive and can help with longer performance and increased enjoyment to your sex life.

  • Exercise improves energy levels. A great boost for people who are always tired.

How Often Should You Exercise For Healthy Weight Loss?

So let's assume you have never exercised previously or for any lengthy periods of time. You are seriously considering beginning an exercise plan but you are finding it hard to get started. Forget those horror stories you hear of the hours you have to walk and all the pain you have to endure to lose any weight at all. Simply not true.

Stop right there, and realise that all you have to do is choose a fitness plan that you feel you can manage and maintain. Further Motivation To Start Your Fitness Plan

Everything I have shared comes from personal experience and studying fitness and health throughout the years. I can promise you from a regular fitness program and a low fat eating plan, you can achieve your dreams while taking back the reins over your life.

Where did you get that picture of my girlfriend? And where did she learn how to dance? She said she was taking "Accounting" at night school! This explains the big noisy purse she left with every night!

I would bet your figure is quite a bit like the ones you've shown; why else would you do all that homework?

I've had MS for 29 years, and have been in a wheelchair for about 13 years. I have zero atrophy and am not a quad as predicted I would be 15 years ago.

I believe it is because of exercise and a strong mind.

Thanks for the compliment, it goes right back to you. I thank my parents for my face. Before the MS I had a 42" chest and a 31" six pack stomach. I'll tell you what happened to my six pack.

Two can were punctured, 2 cans were stolen and two cans evaporated. Fortunatly my head expanded, and now I am a "large head" model.

Great post! everybody of course should exercise But unfortunately it usually takes a "scare" to get them off the couch ( they probably already know they should be doing something).. For me 5 years ago I weighed 87kg doctor said high blood pressure and other host of problems… today I'm 67 kg bodyfat 8% and never been fitter at 47 years …cheers!

Hey, I totally agree with your advice on working out 4 days a week for maximum fatloss. And that you should not give up if you can't do that much in the beginning. I just got over the -getting started into an exercise program- hump too. I'm trying to get ripped in 4 weeks.

Great hub. You hit every aspect of working out and covered all the basics and make it easy for anyone who reads it to throw out their excuses for not exercising.

I agree that getting up an moving is very important. Even research shows that a regular exercise program, while burning only a fraction of the calories someone can ingest in a few minutes (snickers bar, bag of Doritos, etc), helps people adhere to their nutritional program.
